Crumpton Volunteer Fire Dept is one of nine stations in Queen Anne's County. Station 7 is located at 300 3rd street. Station 7 is a 100% Volunteer providing Fire/Rescue/Ems services to Crumpton and surrounding area. Station 7 Also Provides Multi-Aid To Kent County  Maryland. Station 7 Runs about 300 to 400 a year. CVFD prides in protecting life and property of Crumpton and surrounding area. 3RD WORKING FIRE IN JUST OVER 24 HRS AND 4TH IN 3 DAYS

At 03:59 Hours the station was alerted for yet another working building fire in Kent County this time at Buckingham Farms, Rescue/Engine-7 arrived and laid-ed in deploying both bumper lines one was used to keep a venting 1,000 LB propane tank from exploding, Engine/Tanker-7 arrived and was supplying the fire scene along with several other Tankers, Engine-71 arrived and assisted in fire attack with the RE crew, both crews mopped up what was left of the building before returning the 8 Volunteers operated for over three hours before returning Chestertown Chief-6 Had Buckingham Command. WORKING FIRE AT CHURCH HILL LUMBER

At 04:44 Hours while Engine/Tanker-7 and Engine-55 where operation on a working box in the Kent, Q.A. was dispatching a working commercial box in the 5-1 Pulling  Rescue/Engine-7, while units were wrapping up in Kent ET-7 and E-55 were quick to start to the “Hilltop” Engine-52 AOL to find a working fire,followed by Quint-6 and the Rescue/Engine, while the ET set-up to supply the scene as the nurse Tanker. Crews made there way inside the showroom part of the building, to start to put a knock on the fire,  but due to the heavy fire conditions and overall building construction were forced to back out and go defensive. A second alarm was transmitted, followed closely by a third. Three ladder pipes in service with a total front wall collapse of the warehouse portion, secondary collapse of the Side Bravo wall and then an inward collapse of the storefront, Engines at the draft site could not keep up with the demand for water, the ET crew was attacking the fire from the rear of the building with the crews from Sudlersville. After crews regained a good water supply crews began to mop up and hit hot spots.Damage was contained to the fire building and the exposure dwelling on Side Bravo along with damage to some fire apparatus from the radiant heat.  The Rescue/Engine and Engine/Tanker operated for over six hours with seven volunteers, the crews returned to quarters for some much needed rest but was cut short by a MVC at 290 and 544, Officer 501 Hurlock had Church Hill Command


 
   
   
WORKIN BOX IN KENT 60-1

At 03:02 Hours Engine/Tanker-7 was dispatches to Kent County for a working building fire at 603 Morgnec Rd, The ET was quick to hit the streets with a crew of 4, AOL to find Kent units with a large commercial garage fire, The ET established its own water supply and supplied Engine-55(Church Hill) the crew the advanced the bumper line from Engine-55 while there Crew deployed the portable Deck gun, Crews worked for about a  hour to gain control of the fire while overhauling, Q.A. dispatched Commercial Box 5-1


 
   
   
RESCUE LOCAL IN THE 7-1

At 15:11 Hours Rescue/Engine-7 and Paramedic-400 were dispatched to Route 544 and 290 for a MVC the RE arrived to find a 2 vechicle MVC checking on injurys, the crew from the RE found one pt with minor injurys the pt was package by Medic-400 and transported to Chester River medical Center, Crew were back in service in 20 mins, Officer 705 had 544 Command.


 
   
   
2ND ALARM IN C-VILLE

At 0918 Hours box 4-9 was struck  for a reported house fire moments later it was up graded to a working fire Paramedic-4 arrived with a 2 story single family dwelling with fire on the CD corner with possible entrapment, with the first alarm not being filled the 2ND alarm was sounded and the 1st alarm was filled bring numerous companies from the county, Rescue/Engine-7 arrived as the 5th due, the crew made there was inside were they assisted in overhaul, the Rescue/Engine was used to fill air bottles being the only Rescue on location, Crews operated for 21/2 Hours before being released, Chief -4 had Coon Box Rd Command.


 
   
   
WORKING BOX 60-5

At 20:37 Hours the Rescue/Engine and Engine/Tanker were alerted for Kent Box 60-5 for a working house fire on Morgnec Cutoff Rd, the RE and ET arrived as the second due company to find station-6 working the RE laided the supply in and assisted with minor overhaul while the ET picked up the supply line and supplied the fire scene our units operated for one hour. Thanks to Sudlersville Enigne-64 for covering our first due.


 
   
   
PUMP TRAINING WITH THE NEW RESCUE/ENGINE

KENT RESCUE BOX 40-3

At 0158 Hours Kent Rescue Box 40-3 was struck to bring the Ambulance. Station-7 just 1 1/2 Miles away with a crew of 6 for the Rescue/Engine Kent Denied the response of the RE for over 5 Min's Finally allowing them to respond. The RE arrived  as the 1st due Rescue Company providing lights and manpower for the Ambo Crew with the priority  1 Pt, and providing a  safety barricade for the Emergency crews working . The pt was flown to Shock Trama Via Tropper-6, the 8 volunteers operated for over 1 hour.


 
   
   
MVC WITH ROLLOVER ON REDLION BRANCH

At 1345 Hours Rescue Box 7-8 was struck for a mvc with rollover on redlion Branch rd Chief-7,Ambulance-70, and Rescue/Engine-7 made the response with 8 volunteers, units arrived to find one vehicle overturned with two pt out, the two were transported to Chester River Medical Center crews operated for 20 mins .

The Officers and Members of the Crumpton Volunteer Fire Dept, sends their thoughts and prayers to the Sudlerville Fire Company and the Family and friends Of  Chief Charles Fletcher 'Buck' Clough, Jr. was responding to an alarm at approximately 7:45 PM on April 15th when he was involved in a single vehicle collision.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. Buck was a Life Member of Sudlersville Fire company and held numerous offices over his 26 year career with Sudlersville Fire  Company.  Buck is survived by his wife Sandy and their two sons Shane and Chase, his parents Charles Sr. and Beulah Clough, and a Sister, Charlene.   Please keep Buck and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

MVC In The 7-10

 Thursday evening Box 7-10 was struck for a MVC car into a Guard Rail. Chief 7 arrived with officer 704 and assumed Rt. 301 Command, Rescue/Engine 7 arrived and shut down Rt. 301 while the vehicle was secured and PT. was evaluated by PM-600, EMS 7-1 had Triage. Units operated for about 45 Min's with 7 volunteers before returning to service.

BOX 6-1 FOR THE WORKING GARAGE FIRE

At 0601 hours Box 6-1 was struck for a working Garage Fire on East main St. bringing Engines 64,55,Kent MD-23, Tanker-6 and Kent MD-2,  Q-6, R-6 and Kent Tower-6 as the special services. Chief-6 arrived and requested the Tanker Task Force bringing the Engine/Tanker and the Rescue/Engine with 8 volunteers, Caroline Tanker 700 and Kent Delaware Tanker 56. Kent Tanker-6 was also added to fill the box. The ET arrived as the Third Tanker and started a shuttle while the crew went to work. The RE arrived and pick up the remainder of the supply line to complete the lay to the scene, While the crew went to assist in fire attack both crews operated on the C and D sides of the structure for 2 hours before being release to attend our Banquet. Mean while Engine-25 and Ambulance-203 were holding down the first due. SPECIAL THANKS TO CHIEF-6 FOR RELEASEING US TO ATTEND OUR BANQUET AND TO CHURCHHILL FOR PICKING UP OUR 5IN.
